About The Department

Science stream in DCB Girls’ College has started in 1981. The stream has got affiliation in 26th December, 1990. Degree (undergraduate) programme has started in the stream from 1987. Major in Zoology started from the year 1993. The zoology department has a library where books are contributed by the Major students and teachers of the department. Books are issued to the students and teachers of the department regularly. The Department has a laboratory where different specimens, skeleton, models etc. are kept. These are found to be very useful for the students. Some facts of the college & department are summarized as under:-

Vision of the department is to create awareness among students, general people about the biodiversity, conservation of wild animals, pollution, AIDS etc.
